FNU 5383: Prevention of Nutrition-Related Chronic Disease3 Semester Credit Hours . 0-3-3 A review of the determinants, risk factors, epidemiology, and nutrition and health behaviors influencing chronic disease development. This course will examine the role of nutrition in the prevention of obesity, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, cancer, and neurodegenerative disorders. Interactions between pathophysiologic processes and nutrients will be explored.
