BIEN 576: Quantitative Neuronal Systems

3 Semester Credit Hours . Mathematical models of neuronal activities. Biophysics of ion channels, gating and synaptic transmission, and structural and functional neural models are discussed for single cells and networks. These topics are integrated with linear algebra, differential equations, probability theory, information theory and optimization.
