Requirements for a Minor
The minor in International Studies consists of 21 semester credit hours. A student minoring in International Studies must take 6 hours in a Study Abroad Program, 6 hours of a Modern Language (at the 200-level or above), and an additional 9 hours from the list of approved courses for the International Education Requirement (IER) , or courses approved by the Coordinator of the International Studies minor. A minimum of 9 hours must be at the 300- to 400-level.
The Department of Modern Languages, within the School of Literature and Language administers and coordinates the minor in International Studies, lead by a member of the faculty designated by the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts.
Grade Requirement for Minor
Note: A student must earn a grade of “C” or better in each course applied toward meeting the requirement of a minor.
