Requirements for a Major in Aviation Management
A major in Aviation Management consists of 45 semester hours of aviation and specified flight training requirements. The curriculum concentrates on business practices designed to prepare students for managerial positions throughout the aviation industry. The aviation management curriculum requires a minor in Business Administration. Courses applied toward the major and minor must be completed with the grade of “C” or higher.

- HIST 202: History of The US: 1877-Present 3 Semester Credit Hours
- Select one Humanities (GER) course from the following disciplines: Literature, Foreign Languages, History, Classical Studies, Communications, Philosophy, Religious Studies, or Interdisciplinary. NOTE: some of these subject matter disciplines may not be offered at Louisiana Tech University. 3 Semester Credit Hours

Requirements for the Aviation Maintenance Management Concentration in Aviation Management
The Aviation Maintenance Management concentration is specifically designed to prepare graduates to succeed as aviation maintenance managers. A student in this concentration would be required to transfer in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) certificate (worth 25 semester credit hours of appropriate transfer coursework, as determined by the Chair, Department of Professional Aviation) and an Associate’s degree from an accredited and approved post-secondary institution. NOTE: FAA A&P certificates earned by active duty, reserve, and national guard military members as part of their military training, as documented by FAA and their respective military transcripts (e.g. AARTS, CCAF, GEAP, JTS etc.), will be accepted. The student qualifies for the Aviation Maintenance Management concentration as a result of successful completion of the business core curriculum contained within the Aviation Management baccalaureate program.
