Art - Graphic Design Minor

Requirements for a Minor in Art

For a minor, 40 to 60 % of the 21-hour requirement must be at the 300-level or above.

The following courses will constitute an art minor:

ART 115: Design 3 Semester Credit Hours
ART 125: Drawing 3 Semester Credit Hours
ART 468: History of American Art 3 Semester Credit Hours
Art electives with 9 to 12 hours at the 300- or 400- level.

Note(s):

Prerequisites may necessitate more hours than the minimum 21 specified.

Art - Graphic Design

The following courses will constitute a minor:

ART 119: Introduction To Graphic Design Software 3 Semester Credit Hours
ART 160: Introduction To Graphic Design 3 Semester Credit Hours
ART 260: Graphic Design I 3 Semester Credit Hours
ART 261: Typography 3 Semester Credit Hours
ART 262: Graphic Design II 3 Semester Credit Hours or
ART 263: Graphic Design Imaging 3 Semester Credit Hours
ART 264: History of Graphic Design 3 Semester Credit Hours
ART 360: Print Production 3 Semester Credit Hours
ART 362: Designing for The Web I 3 Semester Credit Hours
12 hours of 300- or 400-level graphic design electives

Note(s):

Prerequisites may necessitate more than the minimum 36 hours specified. Minors are interviewed and advised by the graphic design area coordinator.
