Requirements for a Minor
The minor in International Studies consists of 21 semester credit hours. A student minoring in International Studies must take 6 hours in a Study Abroad Program, 6 hours of a Modern Language (at the 200-level or above), and an additional 9 hours from the list of approved courses for the International Education Requirement (IER) , or courses approved by the Coordinator of the International Studies minor. A minimum of 9 hours must be at the 300- to 400-level. A student must earn a grade of “C” or better in each course applied toward the minor.
The Department of Modern Languages, within the School of Literature and Language administers and coordinates the minor in International Studies, lead by a member of the faculty designated by the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts.
