Dual Degree in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry

If your primary degree program is in Chemical Engineering, the following changes to the Chemistry curriculum will allow you to obtain dual degrees in Chemical Engineering and in Chemistry.

In addition to the classes required for the Chemical Engineering degree, you must take the following classes:

PHYS 2023: Physics for Engineering and Science II 3 Semester Credit Hours
PHYS 2611: General Physics Laboratory I 1 Semester Credit Hours
PHYS 2621: General Physics Laboratory II 1 Semester Credit Hours
CHEM 2053: Analytical Chemistry 3 Semester Credit Hours
CHEM 2061: Analytical Chemistry Laboratory 1 Semester Credit Hours
CHEM 2541: Organic Chemistry Laboratory 1 Semester Credit Hours
CHEM 2813: Inorganic Chemistry 3 Semester Credit Hours
CHEM 2821: Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory 1 Semester Credit Hours
CHEM 3123: Physical Chemistry 3 Semester Credit Hours
CHEM 3141: Physical Chemistry Laboratory 1 Semester Credit Hours
CHEM 3513: Biochemistry 3 Semester Credit Hours
CHEM 4664: Instrumental Analysis 4 Semester Credit Hours
CHEM 4813: Advanced Inorganic Chemistry 3 Semester Credit Hours
An additional 3-credit advanced (3000-level or higher chemistry elective)

Note:

A minimum of 30 semester hours are required in addition to the requirements for the Chemical Engineering degree
