Actuarial Science Minor

Grade Requirement for Minor

A student must earn a grade of “C” or better in each course applied toward meeting the requirement of a minor.

• STAT 4053: Statistical Methods 3 Semester Credit Hours
• MATH 3153: Financial Mathematics 3 Semester Credit Hours
• MATH 4903: Topics in Mathematics 3 (9) Semester Credit Hours

Total Semester Credit Hours 18

*For mathematics majors who wish to minor in Actuarial Science, MATH 3153, STAT 4053, and nine hours of MATH 4903 used in the Actuarial Science minor can not be counted towards their major requirements; a 300-level or above English or mathematics course, or a 300-level or above course from a second minor/concentration may be used in place of INEN 3013 to fulfill the major requirement.
