Human Development and Family Science, General Development Concentration (BS)

The General Development concentration is designed to foster a transdisciplinary approach to understanding human development. This concentration will provide students with the flexibility to tailor their academic experience by integrating their interest in another discipline through a carefully curated selection of directed electives. These electives will not only complement their HDFS coursework but also support the pursuit of a minor, equipping students with a broader skill set and a more diverse perspective. By bridging multiple fields of study, this concentration prepares graduates for interdisciplinary careers and advanced studies that require a holistic understanding of human development in various contexts.
